Education Programs
The Manning Regional Art Gallery is committed to providing high quality education programs which engage, educate and inform students of all ages and abilities about art, artists and the Gallery sector. Every year the Gallery offers an extensive exhibition program of high quality international, national and local exhibitions, incorporating touring shows. The Gallery is a fantastic learning environment with an outstanding art studio, outdoor undercover art space and large exhibition spaces.
To assist schools in preparing their own risk assessments, we have prepared a Safety Information Sheet. This document answers all questions required by the NSW Department of Education and Communities.
School Children’s Workshops - Qualified art tutors present workshops for students aged 5 – 18 year which relate to the K-12 Visual and Creative Arts Syllabi.
Self guided tour (free) - The Gallery is a great place to bring your group or school for a cultural experience. Our art educators can support teachers by providing education kits, activity ideas or discussion topics, relevant to each exhibition. Book a time for your visit.
Custom Tour (fee paying) - Our art educators can tailor a specialized art tour or workshop for your group or school, to stimulate discussion, create an experience and broaden interest in the art world. Call our Public Programs Officer to discuss your needs.
Professional Development opportunities - The Gallery offers professional development for teachers and educators to facilitate currency under the new NESA requirements. Let us help you develop and grow your professional capacity in your self prescribed area.
Artist Skills Development
Skills development workshops for artists including fibre art, watercolour, printmaking, photography jewellery, portraits etc. are held throughout the year.
Guided Tours
Gallery staff are happy to give free guided tours of the exhibitions. Tours are by appointment.
