Australia's favourite portrait prize

The annual Archibald Prize is eagerly anticipated by artists and audiences alike.

First awarded in 1921, it is one of Australia's oldest and most prestigious art awards. Judged by the trustees of the Art Gallery of NSW and awarded to the best portrait painting, the Archibald Prize exhibition is a who's who of Australian culture - from politicians to celebrities, sporting heroes to artists.

This touring exhibition is an opportunity to see the finalists in the Archibald Prize 2021. Exhibition dates: 8 July to 21 August

Young Archie

Exhibition dates: 8July to 21 August -
Over 50 budding artists between the ages of 5 and 18 submitted a portrait for the Young Archie competition. The portrait is of a person who is special to the artist - someone who is known to then and plays a significant role in their life.
