Manning River Turtle Crafternoon

Help save our local species, fall in love with this adorable turtle, create a hatchling, share your knowledge and passion.

Together, we’ll learn about our local treasure, the endangered Manning River Turtle.

Create a turtle hatchling, guided by talented local fibre artist Gemma Cross, using techniques such as needle felting and wet felting.

Learn from NSW Saving our Species Project Officer Andrew Steed about the science behind Manning River Turtle conservation.

Be COVID safe: Bring your own lunch, cup, water bottle

Morning tea and all materials supplied.

Cost $20.00

At the end of the workshop, you will have 

• a new found appreciation of one of our local threatened species, the Manning River Turtle

• a turtle to donate to the Manning River Turtle Conservation Group for their school’s education program 

• a turtle to keep. We’ll invite you to join us in bringing awareness to this amazing animal by snapping photos of your turtle near rivers and creeks and posting to the Conservation Groups Instagram page..
