I wool if you wool...spinning a yarn

A Play in four Acts, complimenting the Art of Wool exhibition presented by The Woolmark company and New England Regional Art Museum. Through the month of January during Gallery opening hours come and explore all things wool.

Demonstration days:

Act 1 – Spinning a Yarn - Learn how to spin with wool and create unique cords and tassles Wednesday January 10 and Saturday 13 January

Act 2 – Feelings Felt - Learn about the fascinating world of felting (wet, dry and Nuno), includes floor talk using garments from the exhibition as examples. Wednesday January 17 and Saturday 20 January

Act 3 – A Stitch in Time - Explore some new and old stiches and explore creative knitting. Wednesday January 24 and Saturday January 27

Act 4 – Weaving Wool Bring us Together - All things weaving! Wednesday January 31 and Saturday February 3

The Cast

The Manning Fibre Artists will play the roles of the Alchemists, Magicians, Story-tellers, Historians and Artists.

The friends and visitors to the Gallery will play the Magician’s Apprentices, Co-creators, Audience and future Story-tellers!
