One of the oldest friends of humans, and one of the earliest animals depicted in art, the dog has been a constant throughout human history. The dog may be the star of the show, or a silent body in the background, symbolising protection, loyalty or generosity. This exhibition highlights the range of portrayals of the humble dog by Australian artists, featuring paintings, drawings and sculpture.

Artist and climate justice activist Fiona Lee lost her home and studio in Warrawillah on Biripi country to the catastrophic bushfires in November 2019. The loss of her home and the fraught political commentary at the time drove Fiona to create the exhibition Carbon Tax, a very direct personal response to the bushfire crisis.

The Press Club is a group of local artists who enjoy exploring contemporary printmaking and regularly meet here at the Gallery to share ideas, skills, techniques and prints they have created. These meetings encourage play, experimentation and feedback as each artist explores their own individual themes, all pushing the boundaries of printmaking.
