Creating Positive Change - Chatham High School exhibition

Our Year 7 CHACE class participated in a program called ‘Making Positive Change’. This cross curriculum program provided students with the opportunity to connect with an elderly resident of the Bushland Health Group and develop an awareness and understanding of the diversity within our community. The program also aimed to develop their personal and social capability to interact confidently in different social contexts.

Students visited both Bushland Place and Karingal Gardens, partnering with a resident once a week to share stories, experiences and establish connections. The students then painted a portrait of the resident they were partnered with which were gifted to them at the unveiling we held at Bushland Place on Monday, September 24. The Exhibition will be on at the Manning Regional Art Gallery from 4th October until the 14th October 2018.
