What is the Access information for the Gallery?

Manning Regional Art Gallery is a wheelchair accessible venue, accessible toilets and disability parking spaces. For more information about your visit, Contact Us for help planning your visit.

 What are the dates for the exhibition?

The Art Gallery of New South Wales’ Archibald Prize 2021 is on display at Manning Regional Art Gallery from Friday 8 July until Sunday 21 August 2022.

When is the Official Opening Event?

The Opening Event is on Friday 8 July 6:30pm.

What are the opening hours of the exhibition?

Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 5pm. We’re also open late every Thursday until 7pm (July 14, 21, 28 and August 4, 11, 18).

 Do I need to buy tickets for a specific time?

No, tickets are not timed. Please be aware that wait times for entry into the exhibition may be experienced during busy periods.

How much do tickets cost?

  • $5 – Adults
  • $2 – Concession card (Pension, Health Care, Fulltime Student aged 18+) 
  • Free – Child 0 – 17 years
  • Companion card accepted**
  • Free entry for ‘Friends of the Gallery’ members and Art Gallery of NSW Members.      

Tickets are single entry only. Concession cards must be presented at entry.

** Admission to the Archibald Prize 2021 exhibition is free to those who hold a Companion Card and are assisting as a carer. Present your Companion Card at the front desk to receive your ticket. 

Who can purchase concession tickets?

Concession pricing is valid for:

– Health Care cardholders

– Pension cardholders

– Student cardholders (full-time students aged 18 or over)

Valid ID may be required upon exhibition entry or at the time of ticket purchase.

Where can I buy tickets?

Tickets can be purchased at the door. 

Are group bookings available?

Groups of 10 or more are required to book ahead.  Complete the Group booking form here or contact the Gallery to arrange your visit: All bookings must be finalised with at least 2 weeks’ notice.

Are guided tours available?

Guided tours are available at 12.00 noon on Fridays only. 

Will the exhibition be accompanied by any public programs?

 Are school group bookings available?

Education groups including students from primary to tertiary levels can book using the online form. For further information please contact the Gallery’s Public Programs & Education Engagement Officer on 02 6592 5455 (Mon, Tues, Wed) or [email protected] 

Educators are encouraged to pre-plan their visit at least two weeks before their visit. 

How long does it take to see the exhibition?

The estimated time to view the exhibition is 30 - 45 minutes. But you may want to stay longer!

Can I enter and exit the exhibition more than once with my ticket?

No, each ticket is valid for a single entry.   

Is photography permitted in the Gallery?

Yes, unless otherwise signed, photography is permitted without a flash. The use of selfie sticks and tripods is prohibited.

What is the Young Archie exhibit? 

In conjunction with the Archibald Prize 2021 we have on display over 50 Young Archie entries from around the region form young people aged between 5 and 18. The winners for each category are announced on Thursday 14th July 2022 5:30pm. All works are on display until the 21 August 2021.   More information about the competition can be found here
